Fundraisers
Phonathon – callers needed to contact our 4000+ constituents:
alumnae, parents and friends to raise money in support of the Annual
Fund
Annual Gala – volunteers needed to solicit auction items and
sponsorships. All proceeds benefit the Saint Gertrude Scholarship
Endowment Fund
Casserole Sale at the Sophomore Bazaar – volunteers needed
to make casseroles to sell at the sophomore bazaar, proceeds benefit
the Alumnae Association
Leadership Posts
Class Correspondents – Act as a liaison between your class
and SGHS, contact classmates at least once a year to give us information
for the newsletters, help locate lost alumnae, volunteer for the
Phonathon and attend one Board meeting per year.
We are currently looking for correspondents for the following
years:
1949, 1951, 1964, 1967, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1979, 1980,
1992 1993, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2005
Alumnae Association Board Member – Responsibilities include
acting as a liaison between the school and the larger Alumnae
population, being actively involved in fund raising; assisting the
Development
Office in recruiting class correspondents, participation
in Phonathons, attendance at five scheduled meetings a year and
encourage support
and participation in Alumnae events.
Committees
Reunion Planning/Events- if you would like to sign on to be part
of a planning committee for your reunion or any of the following
annual events:
Alumnae Wine and Cheese Social – planning and coordinating
this Alumnae social (September)
House Tour – hostesses needed for Alumnae House (Fall)
Speaker Night- volunteers needed to set up refreshment
table
Basketball Game – solicit team members and coordinate program (Winter)
Song Contest Alumnae Reception – volunteers needed to meet and greet
guests and give out name tags (March)
Other Opportunities
Senior Alum Induction Party - volunteers needed to serve lunch
(Friday May 18, 2007 from 11:30am-1:00pm)
Merry Mailers – to assist with big mailings stuffing envelopes and affixing
address labels
