The Annual Fund

Supporting the Annual Fund each year directly impacts the quality of education we are able to offer our students. Tuition alone fails to cover the cost of educating a single student. Independent schools rely on annual giving to bridge this deficit between affordable tuition and the actual cost of a quality education. Expenses such as technology enhancements, athletic equipment, classroom materials, financial aid, teacher’s salaries as well as a new 48 seat bus are all paid through your gifts to the Annual Fund. As our academic program grows, our program support must not decline. Your gift to The Annual Fund is the lifeblood of the ongoing excellence we offer.

What your Annual Fund gifts supported during the 06-07 school year:

· New storage cabinets for the art classroom and a new computer software program that will allow the music department to edit music and make CD’s of student performances
· Provided new bleachers and team benches for our sports teams at Saint Joseph’s Villa
· Partial funding for a new Saint Gertrude High School 48 passenger, air-conditioned bus
· Annual Vino on the Veranda and other alumnae events
· Provided new spectrophotometers for Science classes
· Supports Campus Ministry and student retreats to Bristow - the Benedictine Sisters Monastery

We would like to thank all who gave to the Annual Fund last year for helping us surpass our goal of $210,000, raising a total of $221,455! Our goal this year is to raise $230,000 in unrestricted support for the Annual Fund.
