We’d love for you to come visit!
Come see firsthand what life is like for students at Saint Gertrude. Shadow days begin by meeting one of our student ambassadors in the front lobby at 8 a.m. We begin each day at 8:20 a.m. as a community with Morning Gathering and then visit two classes. Our student ambassadors will guide you through the school for a private tour with an opportunity to visit with our teachers one-on-one and learn more about our signature programs and electives. The shadow day ends before lunch at 12 p.m. Shadow Days are only available for 8th graders or transfer students.
We have several dates available for shadow days:
Tuesday, November 5 (FULL)

Top Tips for a Successful Shadow Day Visit
Ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask too many questions; that’s how you learn more about Saint Gertrude and how you fit in. You’ll also uncover exciting info on classes, friends, sports, traditions, or clubs.
Be yourself. Once you walk through our doors, you’re part of the SGHS family. Introduce yourself to those you meet in class or chat with at lunch. You may meet someone who could be your friend or mentor the next four years.
It is okay if you don’t understand what’s happening in class. Your student ambassador may be doing things in class that you haven’t learned yet. Just soak it all in and please participate if you know the answer.
Get to know your ambassador. You and your ambassador probably have many things in common! The more you get to know your ambassador and her friends, the more familiar faces you will see in the halls ready to say hello next year.
Have fun! This is the most important tip! Enjoy your time here and start to see yourself as part of the Saint Gertrude community!
