For their research project, sophomores in Contemporary World History chose a current global issue that matters to them, and researched the causes, effects, and solutions surrounding that issue and presented them today. As usual, they have come up with a great variety of relevant and meaningful topics!
Members of the class of Silver & Pink (‘19) sat on a panel today answering questions and offering insight about college life to the current senior class. It was so great to have them back on campus and hear their tips!

Richmond is our Campus
Our classrooms include the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the James River Park System, the Virginia Historical Society, houses of worship throughout the region, as well as top research and academic institutions, and museums in the Richmond-Washington, D.C. corridor.
Performing Arts
The visual and performing arts program allows students to experience inspiration and the joy of creativity, demonstrate excellence, and infuse our lives with meaning.
Global Learning
The international travel program has grown into the the Global Learning Program, offering students new ways to experience cultures in Europe and Haiti.
Clubs and Organizations
We offer a wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities to meet the needs of all students and to provide an opportunity to develop leadership skills and self confidence.

Freshmen Friends
Freshmen Friends is a peer support program set up for all incoming ninth graders that continues throughout the four years.
Discover Leadership
We incorporate a skill-building program in which our students can discover the roles and styles of leadership that work for them, and learn to put these lessons to work in everything they take on.
Athletics
Our athletic program boasts 12 sports and 21 teams. The primary campus houses a gymnasium, exercise and training rooms, and an onsite Bon Secours athletic trainer. Our state-of-the-art Outdoor Athletic Center is a 16-acre complex with a turf field, grass field, softball field, six tennis courts, field house, and walking path.
The Saint Gertrude Advantage
ALL GIRL
Saint Gertrude is the only high school in the Richmond area where all classes are exclusively single gender. Statistics continue to show this as an educational advantage for our girls.
SMALL SCHOOL
With fewer than 300 students on our entire campus, each girl is guaranteed the personal attention she deserves. Our average class size is 15.
