Tragedy struck the gingerbread jewel of Lola M. before it could be submitted, so we just had to send home a little consolation prize.

Thank you to everyone who participated! The Admissions Office will reach out to winners to distribute prizes.

Our president, Jesse Grapes, shared the following Our president, Jesse Grapes, shared the following with us today; we hope you enjoy his message as much as we did!

“I'm not sure if you were following the recent news about the ‘Christmas Star’- the near alignment of Jupiter and Saturn in the night sky. Although last night was the zenith of this rare astronomical event (hasn't happened for 800 years...and perhaps also 2020 years ago), it will be available to see until December 25th in the southwest horizon, for only one hour after sunset. I included some images. The first is a naked eye view. The second was through my telescope (see Saturn lower left, Jupiter and its moons on the upper right). From our campus, the ‘Christmas Star’ sits on the horizon exactly over the spot where the new Saint Gertrude High School building will be built. I take this as a good omen for 2021 and our long-term vision for Catholic education on this campus.”
