Student Outreach to Society (SOS)

This is a school-wide organization that coordinates volunteer service projects in the local community through the theology classes.

Forty hours of service is required of each student to introduce her to volunteerism, but numerous students perform many more hours of service.

Service within the community includes such projects as tutoring at St. Benedict School, staging a Halloween carnival for local elementary schools, feeding the hungry at the Salvation Army, delivering Meals on Wheels, and educating children at museums.

SOS also accepts other projects undertaken through churches, hospitals, and nursing homes.
