Welcome to Saint Gertrude High School! Deciding on the right high school is a very important decision. We offer a strong college-preparatory education that respects and embraces diversity. The unique atmosphere of an all-girls education helps a young woman develop self-confidence at a critical time in her life. Sports, clubs, organizations, service to the community, and special traditions all help to provide an enriching high school experience.
Our admissions team is ready to meet you, schedule a tour, and guide you through the enrollment process.
Lunch and Learn
Similar to our Open House, a Lunch and Learn is a shorter and more intimate experience. For a little over an hour, guests take a tour of the school, enjoy a light lunch, and participate in an informal Q&A session.
Stay tuned for dates in the 2018-19 school year.
Tours are usually conducted between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. when our students are in class. After-school tours are also available, but are not recommended, as it is difficult to get a real sense of what Saint Gertrude High School is all about without the students, faculty, and staff present. School tours and Shadow Days must be scheduled in advance through the admissions office by calling 804.822.3955 or request a tour.
We invite you to join us for a shadow experience! Come see firsthand what life is like for our students at Saint Gertrude. Our shadow experience begins with meeting one of our student ambassadors in the front lobby at 8 a.m. We begin each day at 8:20 a.m. as a community with Morning Gathering. Afterward, you will visit two classes and stay with us through lunch. Our student ambassadors will guide you through the school for a private tour with an opportunity to visit with our teachers one-on-one and learn more about our signature programs and electives. The shadow experience ends after lunch at 12:30 p.m.
Please contact Meredith McNamara, director of admission, to arrange a date at firstname.lastname@example.org or 822-3955. And if you have a favorite subject or class you are passionate about, let Ms. McNamara know and your experience can be tailored to fit your interests.
