The Saint Gertrude Swim Team Finishes 7th at VISAA State Championships

The 2014 SGHS Swim Team finishes a successful season with a great showing at the VISAA State Championships over the weekend. Highlights of the meet include seven Top 10 finishes. The Gators relay teams had a great meet finishing 6th in the 400 yard freestyle relay (Carr, Schmidt, Stavac, Provenzo) and 9th in the 200 yard medley relay (Carr, Stavac, Schmidt, Provenzo). 

Individually, Provenzo, Stavac and Carr had top 10 finishes. Stavac finished 4th in the 100 yard breaststroke and 7th in the 200 yard IM. Carr finished 9th in the 500 yard freestyle. Provenzo, the anchor of the relay teams, also finished 5th in both the 200 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle races.
